The Bjelovar-Bilogora Study connects medieval history, baroque heritage and childhood stories in the green hills of northern Croatia. Cycle to the ruins of Garić City, one of the oldest fortified towns in the region, founded in 1256, and to the cultural centre of Čazma on its main square.
In Bjelovar, the city museum on Eugen Kvaternik Square presents the town’s history, while Daruvar is home to an 18th-century baroque castle built for Count Janković. Nearby, the Sculpture Park in Sirač displays works by artists from Croatia, the Czech Republic and Macedonia, and the KUC Mato Lovrak centre brings the writer’s novels to life with a steam locomotive and a traditional mill.
